Kamelot: Un poco de historia y amor eterno

Kamelot, una banda de Melodic Power Metal con toques progresivos originaria de Estados Unidos, la cual fue fundada en el año de 1991 por el guitarrista Thomas "Thom" Youngblood y el ex-baterista Richard Warner. Después de haber iniciado haciendo grabaciones de prueba, se unen el ex-vocalista Mark Vanderbilt y el ex-bajista Sean Tibbets.

Sean, fue el primero en salir de la banda, y en su lugar llegó el actual bajista, Glenn Barry. Después, en 1995 se integró el ex-teclista David Pavlicko, quién tan solo permaneció hasta el año de 1998. Sin embargo, un año antes de su salida, Mark y Richard fueron quienes dejaron la banda, sustituyéndolos el noruego Roy Khantatat y Casey Grillo, respectivamente.

Entonces, el único miembro que ha permanecido en la banda, es el guitarrista y líder, Thom Youngblood. Pasando por la banda otro par de teclistas, como Michael "Miro" Rodenberg, Günter Werno y Mats Olausson.

Sin embargo, la salida de todos esos ex-integrantes no ha ocasionada una decadencia musical en Kamelot, sino todo lo contrario.

Actualmente la banda ha grabado ocho álbumes de estudio, y dos en vivo, exceptuando el single, el dvd en vivo, un disco de compilación y la reedición del último álbum, Ghost Opera.

Como podemos ver, es una alineación musical con mucho potencial y buena trayectoria. Hasta el momento, solo han grabado seis videos musicales; el más reciente es el de la canción "Love You To Death". Ésta es una balada muy hermosa, perfecta para dedicársela a esa persona especial que no quisieras dejar ir nunca, u olvidar su mirada en el tiempo. El video fue publicado el 11 de mayo de este año en el canal oficial de la banda.
